The Time Is At Hand!
- By Sadhu Sundar Selvaraj

During the first week of June 2006 a prophet friend and I were preaching at a conference in Nazareth, a small town in the state of Tamilnadu in South India bearing the same name of the biblical town in Israel.

During one night meeting, this prophet shared a startling message: God had revealed to him that soon the seven seals mentioned in the Book of Revelation will be broken (Rev. 6:1-17). That word resonated deep in my spirit. I was shaken with a holy fear of the imminence.

The following morning as I was waiting on God, the Word of the Lord came to me: “Read Matthew 24:8.” I quickly opened my Bible and read to my horror the words: “ All these are the beginning of sorrows.” For the next three hours the Holy Spirit then showed me the order of the apocalyptic events mentioned in Revelation 6-16. The time of sorrows, the Lord counseled, will soon come upon us. The word “sorrow” in Greek is “odin” which means, “to travail.” More specifically, “sorrows” refers to the birth pangs a woman experiences just prior to the birthing of her child.

Saints of God be forewarned. The apocalyptic events that occur when the seven seals are broken are not the birth pangs. Rather, they are the beginnings of the birth pangs. The real birth pangs begin when the seven trumpets sound and when the seven bowls of God’s judgments are poured upon the whole earth (Rev. 8:7-11; 14; Rev. 15,16).

Why this birthing pain? What will it give birth to? The Scripture says: For we know that the whole creation groans and labors with birth pangs together until now. Not only that, but we also who have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, eagerly waiting for the adoption, the redemption of our body (Rom. 8:22,23).

The birth pangs will give birth to the SECOND COMING OF THE LORD JESUS CHRIST as King of kings and Lord of lords (Rev. 19:11-16).

THE HORSEMEN

From December 2006 till now (March 2007), I have seen with growing alarm a series of three similar visions of the valiant galloping fiery red horseman on a flaming red horse. In the book of Revelation four horses are mentioned there: White horse, Red horse, Black horse, and Pale horse. Their riders seem to be empowered to unleash terrible and destructive judgments on earth (Rev. 6:1-17).

Another horseman is mentioned in the book of Zechariah : I saw by night, and behold a man riding on a red horse, and it stood among the myrtle trees in the hollow; and behind him were horses: red, sorrel, and white (Zech. 1:8). Who is this horseman? The scripture provides the answer: these are the ones whom the Lord has sent to walk to and fro throughout the earth (v.10). Before God poured out His judgments upon Sodom and Gomorrah, He sent His angels to spy the land (Gen. 18:21,22). Likewise, before the seven seals are broken, the red horse of Zechariah is riding the length and breadth of the earth to spy the land.

I humbly believe the RED HORSEI saw in my visions signif ies what is going to happen next on the face of the earth —wars and rumors of wars, the fulfillment of Matthew 24:6,7.

As alarming as it may sound let us not be troubled. Let’s pay heed to the counsel of the Lord: “ All this is but the beginning [the early pains] of the birth pangs [of the intolerable anguish] ” (Matt. 24:8, AMP). Is there anything then that we can or should do? Again pay heed to the counsel of the Lord: “ Watch therefore and pray always that you may be counted worthy to escape all these things that will come to pass, and to stand before the Son of Man ” (Lk. 21:36). Beloved saints of God, so then, we must not sleep like the rest . We must stay watchful in prayer . We must remain sober , looking at the signs of the times , for we are living close to the consummation of the end times (I Thes. 5:6).

Beloved saint of God, the time is now at hand for the Lord Jesus to come as a thief in the night. Let us be watchful. Let us keep our spiritual garment clean and intact lest we walk naked and in shame (Rev. 16:15).

Maranatha!
